Sweet Communion Ministries is a Word based, family focused
ministry. We are wholly dedicated to spreading the gospel and equipping people to
experience victorious living by applying Scriptural principles to change their
lives. Our mission is to reach and win the lost, to connect them to the body,
to help them grow in their gifts and ministries, and to honor God with our
lives.
Sweet Communion is a non-denominational church located, and making a difference, in the Orange Mound community in Memphis, Tennessee. The Lord inspired the vision for Sweet Communion Ministries in the heart of Pastor Curtis and Mahalia Roby, and the church was founded in 1998. Pastor Curtis Roby earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mississippi Valley State University and Master’s degree in Christian Education from Oral Roberts University. He is a retired teacher and administrator from Shelby County Schools, and he operates with Godly authority as shepherd and teacher of Sweet Communion Ministries. Mahalia Roby is co-pastor of the church and the wife of Pastor Curtis Roby. She earned her Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Oral Roberts University. She is a teacher at Marion High School. At Sweet Communion Ministries, relationship is the focus. First, we nurture an authentic relationship with God. The Godly relationship foundation is edified by positive connection with others through ministry. We consistently experience the blessing of unity and connectedness as we praise God in word and in deed. Here, worship is no spectator sport.
